A Hybrid DK Guide By Me...

Hi all.
The reason for me writing this guide is that I see too many Power DKs running around, while Power DKs are better than hybrids in the lower levels, but for middle levels, they tend to slow down in leveling. (at least this is what I think in my opinion, don't come PKing me because I said that) I said too much, time to start the guide! Oh! By the way, I'm writing the way I trained mine, so don't blame me if it sucks.

For levels 1 to 4 -> Fight Spiders and occasionally Budge Dragons. Put 3 to strengh
and 2 to agility until level 20.

For levels 4 to 10 -> Hang around with Budge Dragons and Bull Fighters, try to take
on Hounds if your gear is good enough, you should also get a
full Leather set for better defence.

For levels 10 to 15 -> Go kill Hounds and Elites, or go to Noria and kill those
Beetles and Hunters. You should be able to use Bronze full
set by now.

For levels 15 to 25 -> This is the easiest part, just go Davias and say," Level 15,
need party" and a whole bunch of people will try to party
you, try to go server 1 or 15 so you won't be PKed. And
take the stuff that drops, (except jewels, if not your leader
will be feeling so crazy that he wants to PK you or using
anyway to get that jewel back) as well as the zen. You
should be getting some good stuff, at level 25, when you are
useless to your leader, keep your items at the vault, you
should be able to use them by level 40. (I got lots of Scale
Gauntlets+4 and Boots+4 because I had a level 99 MG
friend to help biggrin.gif ) Try to get a Leather Boots+5 too! Add 4
to strengh and 1 to agility.

For levels 25 to 40 -> This is where many hybrid knights start giving up, because
its tougher and tougher to level up, if I am not wrong, they
can't wear Scale set yet. You can use a Spear +4 by now,
but don't get it, because at level 28, you can use the
Berdysh (it takes 108 strengh and 75 agility to use, level 28
is the fastest level you can use), Try to get a Leather Armor
+3+8 or better, they're considered cheap because of the
looting you did at Davias.

Equipment Check: Leather Armor +3+8 or better
Bronze Helm +3 or +4 or better
Bronze Gloves +4+4 OR Leather Gloves
+5 or anything better
Bronze Pants +4 or better
Leather Boots +5 or better

If you have all those...you should have around 130 defence
now (only for those below 30), so go fight Golems or
Skeletons, they'll only do around 9 to 13 damage to you. For
those above 30, try to aim for a high damage Scythe type
weapon like the Great Scythe and the Bill of Balrog, and
train yourself until you can use it, don't worry about costs, as
you're bound to get at least a chaos in your leveling and
you can use them when you're at least level 45 or better so
don't worry. If you have a Scale item +4+x or +2+x (for
armors), train to use them during this period of time. Same if
you have Brass or Plate stuffs that you can't use. At the end
of level 40, you should be using a Light Saber +Skill or Light
Spear+ Skill or anything better.

I'll stop here, check here next time for more updates! By the way, please give any of your comments, all are welcome! biggrin.gif
