Forum Guidelines 1 - General Board Rules 1.1 - Respect other members Treat other forum members with respect. Excessive flames will result in a warning and abuse may result in a ban. If another member is being abusive to you either on the forum or in pm, please report it to staff. 1.2 - Language Avoid excessive bad language. Abusive language directed personally at other members will not be tolerated. 1.3 - Racism Racism in any way shape or form is outlawed on these forums and will be dealt with severely. 1.4 - Cheats/Hacks/Exploits We do not support cheating in any form. Any posts describing how to cheat, exploit bugs or bypass the anti cheat software will be deleted. Any links to cheat web sites will also be deleted. Promoting the use of cheats is also unacceptable. 1.5 - Signatures Please keep signatures to a reasonably small size. It's no fun reading a forum when the siggies are bigger than the actual posts. The maximum image size is 500x180 file size 40k. If you have a full size image, you are allowed 1 line of standard sized text. If you want to add more lines of text, for each added line you must reduce the size of your image by 20 pixels vertically. E.G. If you enter 3 lines of text you must reduce your image by 40 pixels making the max 500x140. If you have a plain text signature you are allowed 11 lines of standard sized text including blank lines. If you use larger sized text, use common sense and adjust accordingly. Keep it within 'good taste'. This will be judged on a case by case basis. As a rough guide, no porn(hard or soft) or anything abusive. 1.6 - Avatars The size limit is set to 64x64. Keep it within 'good taste'. This will be judged on a case by case basis. Ads will definitely be deleted. 1.8 - Links to other boards etc Advertising other Mu forums is not allowed except where that forum is affiliated to MuHQ. 1.9 - Getting the mods attention If you have a problem that you think needs a mod or admins attention, pm them directly. You will find a list of current admins/mods here. If there's a specific thread or post you want to bring to our attention please use the Report button at the top right of the post. 1.10 - Respect the staff This forum exists because we saw a need for such a place when one didn't exist. We do it because we want to and not because we are obligated. We pay for it mostly from our own pockets and put significant time into it with no recompence other than personal pride. Please remember this when interacting with the forum staff. Abuse and offensive behaviour will not be tolerated. Any decisions made regarding forum rules are made with the communities best interest in mind and those decisions are final. 1.11 - Warez & Illegal Private Servers We do not support warez trading or illegal private servers. Any threads advertising these will be deleted. 1.12 - Accounts Users are allowed 1 account each only. Accounts with racist or offensive names will be deleted. Also, creating a 2nd account to bypass a suspension will result in a permanent ban. 1.13 - Different Languages While we respect the fact that Mu Online is played around the world by people of many different nationalities, we must ask that when you post on MuHQ you must do so in English. We have to be able to moderate posts and this would not be possible if many different languages where used. Threads and posts made in other languages may be edited or deleted. 1.14 - Communication with admins Communications between admin and members via email, pm or any other means regarding any issue relating to forum rules and decisions are deemed private. Posting these private messages publicly may result in account suspension or banning. 2 - Specific Forum Guide To keep information easy to find, please place your posts in the relevant forum. 2.1 - Maya Chronicles Forum used for threads about Mu the game. Please refrain from none MuOnline related topics in this forum. 2.2 - Off Topic Foum used for anything none MuOnline related. 2.3 - Maya Market place: See section 3 Forum used purely for the trading of ingame items. 2.4 - Hints & Tips As the title says, used for posting hints/tips about the game. 2.5 - Tutorials A forum where players can post game tutorials. All posts in this forum have to go through a moderater for authorisation before becoming visible. 2.6 - Guilds Forum for promoting and recruiting for guilds. 2.7 - Tech centre and bug report. Forum where you can get tech advise from the rest of the community and post bug reports. 2.8 - Feedback Any suggestions or queries relating to the forum post here. 3 - Market Place To make the market place as easy to use as possible, please keep in mind the following guidelines: Trading ingame items or accounts for real life cash or anything else other than MuOnline ingame items is not allowed on these forums. This includes trading Mu items for items from other games. We can also not support the trading of accounts. The market place is purely for trading items. Please don't post unless you are making a bid or requesting information about the item with a view to making a bid. Replies to a sellers thread that do not contain a bid may be deleted. Do not hijack a buyers thread. If you are also looking to buy the same item someone has posted they are looking for, make your own thread. When possible, state whether you are buying or selling in the title and the name of the item. If an item is sold please say so in your thread to save people wasting time bidding when it's no longer available. Please be aware that this is not a complete and comprehensive list of rules and is intended only as a guide to what we consider acceptable conduct. |
